Duck Eggs: A couple notes

From Peter King tracks down our Ducks Cam Fowler for a chat on facing his former Bob Boughner in Columbus tomorrow night. “I hope he doesn’t give any of his players any tricks,” says Cam.

While you’re at take peek at Mike Brophy’s Power Rankings. Broph’ has our Ducks moving from 29th to 17th. Silly me, every time I see a Power Ranking I think of  Dick Clark’s Bandstand or hum the Bangles, “They Got the Beat.”

PSCrunch Hockey tweets that Brendan Mikkelson has been picked off waivers by the Calgary Flames.

About 25 minutes ago the Flames made room to add a player by reassigning D-man T. J. Brodie per a Darren Dreger re-tweet of reporterchris.

CYA Mik. Ducks fans are welcome to go ahead and say the cuss words I won’t print here.

Per Kuklas Korner Tweet: Former Ducks Andrew Ebbett has been called up by the Phoenix Coyotes. ‘Yotes center Martin Hanzal is expected to miss up to two weeks with a lower body injury.

Robert Picarello ( power-ranking has the Ducks 25th, improved from being 29th after the first road trip.

  2. BackCheck says:

That’s okay, at least he’s got our Ducks going in the right direction.

  3. buick22 says:

Always interesting to see former Ducks that were waived o released to see how they end up. Ebbet and Mikkelson for example….Glencross is my favorite example of lost opportunity for us…I hope Hiller and Perry are not next, (Note the double letter

    • BackCheck says:

Flames have Logan McMillan too. Ebbett is on his 4th team now. Good guy but may never be much more than a depth forward.

I don’t understand waiving Mikkelson. Just don’t get it.
