OCR’s Eric Stephens tweeted, “Do Ducks ever do anything easy.” Hazy’s first words after the game, “Whew, Ducks don’t make it easy.” In case you missed it there was a heart stopping moment with just seconds to go. Milan Hejduk just threw it at the net and it got over Ellis shoulder bounced off the crossbar, hit the fat post and out.Randy Carlyle shifted his lines to start the game and our Ducks played a horrible a first period. RC went back to familiar line mates and the team responded. perhaps more importantly RC went teh same D pairings, Lydman-Visnovsky; Fowler-Lilja and Beuachemin-Sbisa for the second consecutive game. Maybe fans do get it right, no?

Our Ducks totally dominated and got goals from Getzlaf and Marchant. It was T-bone’s first of the year. Todd’s goal came on center lane give and go drive to the net with Luca Sbisa. Marchant was able to get his stick under Sbisa’s feed and lift the biscuit over Budaj’s outstretched pad.

Hey Todd Marchant gets a goal, he deserves a paragraph. Not sure how they missed giving him a star but those went to Getzlaf, Perry and Ryan. Luca Sbisa sure deserved an honorable mention as well.

Dan Ellis is quickly acclimatizing himself to his new teammates. In the first game Ellis held every puck for a faceoff. In this game he was dishing to teammates.

The regulation time win kept our Ducks just one point behind 8th seed Dallas who have a game in hand. Just 3 points separate the 5th seed Los Angeles Kings with the 11th seed Anaheim Ducks.

Our Ducks play again Wednesday night against Detroit. The six teams immediately ahead in the standings each see action Monday and Tuesday.

ADHN finally got the post game interviews up.

Following the game our Ducks confirmed numerous media reports that they had acquired well traveled and mostly minor league enforcer Bryan McGratton from the Boston Bruins. Once promising Sean Zimmerman is also Syracuse bound. Center Stefan Chaput acquired from Carolina in the Ryan Carter deal and David Laliberte, acquired along with Patrick Maroon from Philadelphia in Danny Syvret/Rob Bordson swap, are on tehir way to teh Boston Bruins organization.
