Quick Hit: Ducks Fantasy Rating

THN’s Darryl Dobbs began his fantasy pool outlook of all 30 NHL teams with a look at our Anaheim Ducks. Dobbs gave us the same rating as he did last year, a C. He rates Kyle Palmieri as the most NHL ready prospect. Predicts Belesky and Bonino will stick. Dobbs  picks up on the Cogliano usurping Koivu mantra and flat out says, Saku Koivu fits best on the third line these days.

I’m not sold on Dobbs other claim that, “They don’t like having to play their Big 3 (Bobby Ryan, Ryan Getzlaf, Corey Perry) together and would much rather split them up.” Heck, whenever this team is in trouble RC rides his big guns. It’s his m.o. He did with it Nieds and Pronger and he’s done it with the Big 3 plus Lubo.

  1. I think Dobbs is slightly off. I think that RC would definitely use the Big 3 together, but maybe he wants to make all the lines more even? Not really sure.

  2. czhokej says:

I wouldn’t mind splitting them, but other combos did not work well last season. “C” is not flattering, but realistic.
