According to thehockeynews.com Visnovsky trade is good. Wish we still had him…Good luck with the new club…Article reads as follows:

An NHL arbitrator has upheld a trade between Anaheim and New York that sent defenceman Lubomir Visnovsky to the Islanders for a second-round pick.

The teams made the deal on June 22, the first day of the NHL draft. About a month later, Visnovsky filed a grievance through his agent, stating the no-trade clause in his contract was valid. Visnovsky had waived the clause in 2010 to accept a deal from the Edmonton Oilers to the Ducks.

Visnovsky has played the last three seasons with the Ducks, totalling 108 points (29 goals and 79 assists) in 165 games. He had a career year with Anaheim in 2010-11, leading NHL defencemen in scoring with 18 goals and 50 assists in 81 games.

The five-foot-10, 197-pound defenceman from Topolcany, Slovakia, has 117 goals, 333 assists and a career plus-32 rating over 771 games with Los Angeles, Edmonton and Anaheim.

It depends, if Visnovsky is healthy, it is a loss. If not, he would be too expensive.
Imagine getting 18 goals from a D, (and 11 from the center of the top line). I also wish him good luck.

I agree he is expensive. However, at this point, with the team we have, he would have made us better. One more season would have helped Cam to develop further…As tearingitup indicated, traded Ducks prosper on other teams… Regardless he is a NYI if the season starts!

Note: I have received many calls/emails from Ducks tickets division encouraging me to sign up for season tickets or mini plans…FYI Ducks management, if you build it they will come!

‘splain it to me like I’m a 4 year old. Let me get this straight. They’re selling tickets during a lockout. They offering you tickets to a game that may not be played. And when they do get around to playing it they’ll make good then, at some unspecified future date.

That impresses me. Really, hey I got tickets to nuthin’ wanna buy ’em?

My sentiments exactly…I would rather support the ECHL team in Ontario.

He did have that bad season, and yes he is expensive. I also wish him well …..seems like most Ducks that leave end up doing well with there new team
